Taking Breaks and Setting Personal Limits

The official website of 38d. The demo is intended for adults and uses coins without cash value. Decide how much time and how many virtual coins you want to spend before playing. Personal limits are decisions you make; this interface does not enforce them.

What the 18+ statement means

The guide’s 18+ label states its intended audience. It is not an implemented age-verification gate or a determination of local legality. No regulator, legal status or outside operator is established by this guide.

Choose a stopping point

Set your own time and virtual-coin limit, take breaks and stop when you reach that limit. The demo has no implemented session timer, persistent account block or self-exclusion control. Closing the page is a personal choice rather than an enforced cooling-off programme.

Understand the ticket probabilities

Choose a ticket before drawing: Lower accepts scores 0 and 1, Middle accepts 2 and 3, and Upper accepts 4 and 5. There are 169 equally likely ordered pairs of readings. Lower matches 115 pairs, Middle 51 and Upper 3. Each count divided by 169 is that ticket’s hit probability, not the probability that a session will be profitable. A matching score returns the captured stake multiplied by 0.96 × 169 ÷ the selected band’s coverage. The gross multipliers are approximately 1.410783 for Lower, 3.181176 for Middle and 54.08 for Upper. A miss returns zero. Each band’s exact expected gross return is 96%; a single round or session can differ from that average. A larger Upper multiplier does not make an Upper hit more likely.

Restoration does not improve probabilities

The local wallet starts with 1,000 virtual coins. Balance and fractional payout carry are saved in browser local storage, including a zero balance. While idle, a balance below 10 makes manual restoration available. Restoration sets the balance to exactly 1,000 and preserves the carry; it does not add 1,000, credit the carry immediately or run automatically. Restoring coins does not change the score calculation, ticket coverage or payout multiplier. It is optional and does not require extending a session beyond your chosen limit.

Take breaks between completed rounds

The readings appear in sequence, not as two separate bets. Normally each reveal waits about 420 milliseconds. With reduced motion, each reading is revealed on its next animation frame. The second reveal completes the score and settles the captured stake. Revealing the first reading does not unlock settings or provide a collection opportunity. Reloading before settlement ends the unfinished round without refund, payout or resumption. Its captured stake stays deducted. Previously saved balance and carry remain, while stake selection returns to 20 and the Lower ticket is selected again. Unfinished readings and chosen settings are not saved for continuation. If you want a break after settlement, stop before starting another round.

Support and privacy limits

If play becomes difficult to manage, seek appropriate qualified help locally. The demo is not a clinical tool and does not make losses safe or train behaviour safely. The game stores the virtual-coin balance and fractional payout carry locally. The page also loads Manrope and Lora through Google Fonts and includes Statinside counter 44. These external requests are separate from the local wallet. Having no login or cashier does not establish anonymity or the absence of personal-data processing.

Frequently asked questions

Does the demo enforce my time limit?

No. A time or virtual-coin limit is your own decision. There is no implemented timer, account block or self-exclusion tool.

Can I withdraw these virtual coins?

No. The demo’s virtual coins have no cash value. There is no cashier, deposit, withdrawal or conversion into money.

Does restoring the balance improve my chance of a hit?

No. Restoration changes the virtual balance when eligible. It does not change the readings, ticket coverage or score formula.
